Stromboli offers many opportunities for your excursions around the island!

You can take fascinating excursions into nature, walk in the beauty of the beaches, dive into the marvelous deeps of sea, walk up to the craters and watch the explosions.

With an authorized guide it is possible to reach, in about 3 hours, the summit of the volcano (Vancori, 924 mt) and from there, in complete safety, watch the great show of the Stromboli Volcano spitting fire and rocks up to a few hundreds meters up in the sky, and then watch those rocks fall down, and eventually roll deep in to the sea.

For those who don't feel comfortable walking up the top of the volcano, there is an interesting alternative: watching the "sciara del fuoco" (the river of rock and lava flowing from the summit down to the sea) from a rented boat (or with an organized tour).

Or with a rented boat you can tour the coasts of the island alone or with an organized tour with the experienced sailors of the island. Don't forget to pay a visit to "Ginostra" town and to bathe near "Strombolicchio" where the blue sea has infinite nuances.

If you wish to truly feel the fascinating appeal of Stromboli you must walk around the small lanes at dawn, lit only by the rays of a magic silvery moon.
The streets of Stromboli island have no electric lighting, therefore preserve the feel of Aeolian life !

In case you'd also like to visit other Aeolian Islands, you can tour Panarea, Vulcano, Salina, Lipari in a single day with the frequent and quick sea links by Hydrofoil, passenger ships, or fast catamaran-ships.

Stromboli island is real heaven to people who love snorkeling and diving, thanks to the beauty and richness of the seabed, and the vast variety of fish species living there: groupers, white sea breams, amberjacks, mullets and many others!
